Marvel Studios Teases Press Event For WHAT?

Because releasing the Age of Ultron trailer and poster before time, sharing more goodies during next week’s episode of Agents of SHIELD and the following week with the anniversary special Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop! is definitely not enough for Marvel, now they are teasing a special event.

Yesterday, Marvel Studios invited the press to attend a special event next Tuesday at El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles. This event might be open to fans as well as they shared the following on twitter:

There’s no information on the official Facebook page so far but we will keep an eye on it!

The big question here is: what could this special event be about? And so the theories begin (this is my favourite part!).

The only things we know for sure is that it will take place on Tuesday October 28th in Los Angeles and that it will be a Marvel Studios event. No Marvel Comics.

Although I know Marvel feels no pressure with the competition against DC (I must confess I see no competition here: they each have their strong points, their flaws, a strong fan base and their own styles) it could be possible that this event is to announce the titles for all the untitled projects on their list. I’m not losing hope on a Captain Marvel solo film!

It could also be one of the biggest announcements we’ve been anxiously waiting for: the Doctor Strange lead actor. Listen to me, Marvel: you’ve been playing with our hearts a lot lately when it comes to all the casting rumours surrounding Doctor Strange. Could you please, please give us a confirmation? We promise to be nice; we just want to know who will be our Sorcerer Supreme.

On the other hand, Marvel could also confirm some stuff we already know, like Robert Downey Jr joining Captain America 3 in order to kick-off the Civil War storyline.

Another theory of mine, although a bit improbable, is some sort of news about Ant-Man. Maybe a teaser or something. I don’t know, I’m still heartfelt about the whole “we rewrote Edgar Wright’s script” situation, so I haven’t given much thought to this theory.

What do you think this event will be about?
