Fear not, my friends! Chris Hemsworth has two more films to go after Avengers: Age of Ultron.
While Robert Downey Jr’s contract will come to an end after Avengers 3 and Chris Evans’ time as Captain America will end after Captain America 3 and Avengers 3; our other Chris has confirmed he has two more Marvel projects to go after Age of Ultron.
“It’s three times I’ve played the character now [and this] has made me look at it in a different way […] I still got three more [films] in my contract that I need to finish off but I love playing the character.”, Hemsworth told The Morning Show.
To avoid any confusion, Hemsworth is not counting Age of Ultron, so technically he has two more to go, which we deduce are Avengers 3 and Thor 3.
Yes, Thor 3 will happen! I must confess there was a moment when I feared Thor 3 was not going to happen and so my mind was starting to go a bit nuts trying to imagine what could have happened after Loki was not really dead and took Odin’s throne! Thankfully, I won’t have to imagine it anymore as the third film is currently being scripted by Christopher Yost (Thor: The Dark World and the upcoming Max Steel).
So, in short: we will have more Robert Downey Jr greatness for two more films (this will give me enough time to figure out how I will go on with my life without Robert as Tony Stark), Chris Evans for three more films, Hemsworth for three more and more Chris Pratt at least for two more. The “Chrises”, I love them.
Avengers: Age of Ultron will be out on May 1st and the trailer will most likely be released with Interstellar and Big Hero 6, so get ready!
