Jennifer Lopez meets her new neighbour in the first trailer for her next film The Boy Next Door. From Universal Pictures and billed as a psychological thriller, Ryan Guzman, John Corbett, and Kristin Chenoweth also feature in the clip, which you can check out here:
The Rob Cohen directorial effort stars Lopez as a divorced woman who sleeps with her son’s friend, their incredibly hot neighbour, Noah, played by Ryan Guzman of the Step Up franchise (which explains the abs).
The attraction between the two quickly becomes obsession on the part of Noah, which accelerates into a risky situation that sees J-Lo brandishing a knife at one point during the two minute clip.
The trailer itself is hot and steamy, a combination of the two hugely good-looking leads, the music, the build-up and sudden camera work, and of course the amusing sexual innuendo (“It got pretty wet here”).
Its not going to be Jennifer Lopez’s best work but its great to see her back on the silver screen, alongside Broadway darling Kristin Chenoweth no less, and I’ll definitely check it out when it hits U.S. cinemas January 23, 2015.
