It’s sad news for Sherlock fans everywhere as a three-day convention centred, entirely on our favourite detective, has been delayed.

Massive Events and Showmasters, the organisers of the convention, called Sherlocked The Event, posted on their Facebook page about the delay and their reasoning behind it, citing the availability of some of the actors to be the main reason.

The post read, “This has been one of the hardest tasks we have ever had to deal with and we now understand how difficult it must be to film the actual tv show as so many of the main cast are incredibly busy and popular!”  The organisers went on, “We just wanted to let you all know that we really do care and we want to deliver the most incredible event we can and that is why things are taking a bit more time that we originally anticipated.”

The fourth season of the hugely popular series, Sherlock, will begin filming in January 2015, but it is still unknown when the season will air.
