Saltgunners packed into Nerd HQ’s space at Petco Park last Sunday, July 27, to hear from their favorite Supernatural men and they were not disappointed.
For the uninitiated, Nerd HQ is Zachary Levi’s annual charity event that runs during San Diego Comic Con. Celebrities and creators host “Conversations for a Cause”, where proceeds benefit the non-profit Operation Smile. The sold out Supernatural session, which was the final Conversation for this year’s Nerd HQ, brought $6,000 alone at attendees would agree it was well worth it.
Series stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, and Mark Sheppard brought the funny and the fun for fans. Moderated by Aisha Tyler, the Q&A session featured an epic story from Ackles about fan art and an especially hilarious bit where Sheppard got a fan completely flustered when he sat next to her while she tried to ask a question. Also, Misha Collins being utterly adorable, as usual. The audience even got a bit misty-eyed when Padalecki admitted he would probably only do the show a few more seasons, rather than another nine (it’s currently entering its tenth).
