The Evil Queen may be resurfacing and winter is coming to town on Once Upon a Time. At the Once Comic-Con panel today, the cast and creators revealed, among other things, Regina may be backsliding to her wicked ways.

In the one of two exclusive clips from the season premiere, Regina walks the familiar halls of Storybrooke’s mental hospital ward to find her magic mirror, aka Sidney Glass. She needs his help getting rid of someone who is in the way of her happiness and we all know who that is. During an interview, Lana Parilla said of Regina, “She’s definitely a temperamental woman…She is a fighter. She is not a woman that is going to go down so easily.”

At the panel, Jennifer Morrison (Emma) commented on having ruined the Outlaw Queen (Regina/Robin Hood) pairing by accidentally bringing Robin’s no-longer-dead wife Marian to Storybrooke, “It’s an impossible situation. I can’t apologize for saving a life. Yet I’m horrified that I’ve gotten in the way of Regina’s happiness.”

The other clip from the season premiere offered the first look at the Frozen story arc. Elsa and Anna visit their parents’ graves and Elsa tells her sister she has a surprise for her before her wedding. Of the new characters, Morrison said they fit naturally into Once’s world. Josh Dallas even hinted someone from Frozen (Hans?) may have played an important role in shaping the life of his character, Charming.

On including the Disney juggernaut into the series, co-creator Eddy Kitsis said in an interview, “Our show was started on fairy tales and that seems to be what our audience loves… We are not trying to do the sequel to Frozen. We’re bringing on an Elsa (played by Georgina Haig) into the Once universe.”

Elsewhere in Storybrooke, Mr. Gold and Belle begin their married lives but a certain dagger may come between them yet again. Both Robert Carlyle and Emilie de Ravine expressed their hope that the couple could continue to repair the damage done by Rumple’s lust for power. Things may be a little smoother for the new romance between Hook and Emma. “They definitely have a thing,” actors Colin O’Donoghue and Morrison said. Fingers crossed for smooth sailing for Captain Swan!

Once Upon a Time returns on ABC Sunday, September 28 at 8 p.m. Check out the sizzle reel from season 3 and some clips from season 4, as well as some photo’s from the Comic Con panel, below.
