The Glee cast all seem to be busy with different projects during this extended hiatus. Lea Michele is filming for Sons of Anarchy (!), Chris Colfer is promoting The Land Of Stories 3: A Grimm Warning, Jenna Ushkowitz and Amber Riley are about to take to the LA stage in Adam Shankman’s production of Hair, and various other cast members are making films, TV shows or working on albums, so it’s nice to add another Glee star into the mix.

The lovely Harry Shum Jr, best known for his role as Mike Chang on Glee and been cast as one of the leads in the sequel to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.  The film will shoot in New Zealand and China and production begins this week.

The movie takes place 20 years after the events of Crouching Tiger, and focuses on four heroes of the martial arts world,  Silent Wolf, Yu Shu-lien, Tie-Fang and Snow Vase. Between them they must defeat Hades-Dai and keep the legendary sword Green Destiny from falling into his hands.

Donnie Yen will play Silent Wolf, and Michelle Yeoh has been cast as Yu Shu-lien. Harry Shum Jr will play Tie-Fang.

I am sure I’m not alone in saying I am really happy to hear such a great part has come Shum Jr’s way, and I am sure he will be fantastic in the role if his outstanding dance ability is anything to go by. Here at 4ye we would like to wish Harry every success with his new role.
