The hearts of many a Glee fangirl stopped earlier today as a tweet was posted from Chris Colfer’s verified account explaining he had been “let go” from the Fox hit, and would not be returning for the show’s sixth and final season.

Colfer’s manager, however, along with 20th Century Fox were quick to address the untrue rumours, adding that Colfer had been hacked, and would definitely be reprising his role of Kurt Hummel.

Colfer has portrayed the fabulous Kurt Hummel since the show’s pilot in 2009, and has played a key part in some of the show’s most important storylines, specifically regarding his sexuality.

The season five finale saw Hummel happily based in New York alongside boyfriend Blaine Anderson, played by Darren Criss, as their friends went their separate ways, to L.A., Ohio, or on tour. The group promised to meet up again in the Big Apple six months later, and, thankfully, it seems Kurt WILL  be joining them.

We are still waiting on official word from Chris Colfer himself, but keep it 4YE for all the breaking details.

Everyone take a deep breath, and, if you are of the legal age of course, get yourselves a drink – you deserve one!
