The mystery grows more and more.

A second trailer for the highly anticipated David Fincher film based on Gillian Flynn’s worldwide bestseller Gone Girl has hit the internet. This second trailer for the film adaptation of Flynn’s novel gives us more of Ben Affleck proclaiming “I did not kill my wife!”, as his character, Nick Dunne, deals with the aftermath of his wife’s (played by Rosamund Pike) disappearance or possible murder (no spoilers here), and introduces us to more characters from the novel.

For those hoping to see Neil Patrick Harris’ turn as Desi Collings, you won’t be disappointed as this latest trailer does a lot more than just tease us with his presence.

Check out the trailer below:

Tyler Perry, Missi Pyle, and Patrick Fugit join Affleck, Pike, and Harris to round out the star studded cast. According to Flynn, who also wrote the screenplay, the film will deviate from the novel, and the story won’t be told in the same way. Book to film adaptation purists, you have been warned.

The film is set to be released in cinemas on October 3, 2014.
