Eva Green is in talks to star in Tim Burton’s latest film, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children. The role would see her reuniting with the quirky director, after the pair worked together on 2012’s Dark Shadows.
Miss Peregrine’s Home is set for release on July 31, 2015, and is an adaptation of Ransom Riggs YA novel of the same name. The story follows a teenage boy who is taken to an island to protect a group of orphans with special powers from creatures set out to destroy them.
Jane Goldman has adapted the script, and after her success with X-Men: First Class, I am hopeful this movie will also prove popular.
Eva Green, currently starring in Penny Dreadful on Showtime, would take the role of the orphanage headmistress. With Goldman and Burton both having a reputation for being flamboyant and ‘individual’ in their styles both on and off screen, I think this will really be a movie worth seeing.
