Jake Gyllenhaal has been attached to new movie Demolition, to be directed by Dallas Buyers Club’s Jean-Marc Vallee.
According to Deadline, Gyllenhaal is tipped to play a young investment banker in the movie, with the screenplay written by Brian Sipes. The banker’s world falls apart after the tragic death of his wife, and he struggles to understand his emotions surrounding the events. He begind to tear his life apart trying to find where he went wrong, but a chance encounter with a woman he meets ultimately leads to his rescue.
It’s a busy time for Gyllenhaal, with several new films under his belt. Nightcrawler, Southpaw and Everest are all slated for release soon-ish, with Everest’s release date recently being moved from February 2015 to September 18, 2015 instead.
