The annual Much Music Video Awards took place yesterday, Sunday June 15, in Downtown Toronto, honouring the best of the music industry as voted for by Canadian fans.
The Canadian ceremony was hosted by Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and saw Toronto’s own Drake take home two awards for his videos “Worst Behaviour” and “Hold On We’re Going Home”. Lorde also won big for “Royals”, and performed her hits “Tennis Court” and “Team”.
Canadian band Hedley, who helm from British Columbia, however, took the most prizes, winning three for “Anything”, including Favourite Video of the Year, and Video of the Year (which kind of mean the same thing don’t they?). Another famous Canadian, Justin Bieber also won, as did his on-off girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Ariana Grande later closed the show, which also featured performances from Ed Sheeran, Sam Roberts Band, and Magic!
