Rob Lowe is the latest star to be announced in the line up for Paramount Animation’s hybrid movie Monster Trucks. He will be joining Danny Glover, Jane Levy, Amy Ryan, Lucas Till, Holt McCallany, Thomas Lennon, and Barry Pepper. The movie is being written by Kung-Fu Panda duo Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger and will be a live action and animation mash up. It is allegedly centered around Amy Ryan as a single mom trying to make ends meet while raising her teenage son, but no other plot details as yet for the movie, which is scheduled for release in May 2015,. Still, who doesn’t love a bit of Rob Lowe on their screens?

Lowe is also set to star in another movie release this summer alongside Cameron Diaz and Jason Segal in comedy Sex Tape , and also with Burt Reynolds in Pocket Listing, a satirical thriller based on the US housing crash.  He can also be seen in NBC comedy pilot The Pro, set at a golf and tennis club and starring Lowe as a former tennis pro who is reunited with his ex partner after a public feud that “left them both floundering in life.”
