Ray Winstone is set to join the cast for the remake of Point Break.  The actor will play Luke Bracey’s partner in the remake of the cult classic 1991 movie, which originally starred Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze.

For those of you who haven’t seen the original, the plot centres around an undercover FBI agent who infiltrates a criminal underworld hidden among a group of Southern California surfers. Luke Bracey will play Johnny Utah- Reeves’ original role, while Winstone will play his assistant. Gerard Butler will play the part of Bodhi, which was originally played by Patrick Swayze- the surfer responsible for inducting the undercover Utah into the criminal circle.

The script has been written by The Fast and the Furious’ Kurt Wimmer, and Ericson Core is directing.

I have very mixed feelings about this. I love the original film, and on the one hand I don’t want it tampered with, but on the other, I’m intrigued to see what they do with it. What are your thoughts? Let us know below!
