The good news just keeps on coming! A few days ago we reported the joyous news that a sequel to Disney’s 2004 superhero film The Incredibles is in the works. When asked about his possible involvement the upcoming project, Samuel L. Jackson, who voiced iceman Frozone in the original flick, was more than hopeful of his return.
Lucius Best, aka Frozone, has the power to produce ice and freeze surfaces, and is first introduced as a close friend of the Incredible Parr family. In a chat with Digital Spy, while promoting Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Jackson said, “Every time I run into Brad [Bird, director] he always tells me Frozone is part of what’s going on, so I have to believe that”, adding, “I guess they could be the Incredibles without Frozone, but I think Frozone would be a wonderful addition to what’s already there”.
He later voiced my thoughts exactly when I heard about the sequel, “I’m just looking forward to seeing what Jack-Jack turned into”. Aren’t we all!
You can next catch Mr. Jackson as Nick Fury in the Captain America sequel, in UK cinemas now, and it hits US cinemas on April 4. First, check out one of the best scenes in The Incredibles, featuring Frozone himself, below:
