Dianna Agron has just announced her latest film role!
This latest role is her fourth film announced in less than a year. The filmed called, Tumbledown, is a romantic-comedy that will be set in “deep woods of Maine”. It’s unclear what role Agron will have in the film. We do, however, have a little idea of what the film will be about with the recently released plot.
“Struggling to come to peace with the unexpected death of her husband, an almost famous folk singer whose career and life were cut tragically short, Hannah (Rebecca Hall) lives a simple life far away from noise and chaos of the city. Both comforted and cursed by the closeness of her small town, Hannah struggles to fill the new void in her life by fixating on the seemingly impossible task of writing the biography of her lost husband – for herself and his fans.
So when Andrew (Jason Sudeikis), a cocky New York writer, comes in to town to write a book of his own on her beloved, Hannah quickly runs him and his book out of her town. Andrew is not one to give up easily, and Hannah soon discovers his roughness and assertiveness as a welcome challenge and a surprising change from the smothering concern of her town, friends and family.
Filled with tears, laughter, love and music: Tumbledown is the story of a woman who must find the courage to let go of her past and the strength to move on to her future.”
Despite not knowing what role Agron’ll play, it’s safe to say she’ll be in great company with her talented co-stars in the film. The film will also star Jason Sudeikis (SNL, We’re The Millers), Rebecca Hall (The Town, Iron Man 3), Joe Manganiello (True Blood), Blythe Danner (Meet The Parents, Meet the Fockers), and Griffin Dunne (Dallas Buyers Club).
Sierra Affinity, International distributor, CEO Nick Meyer spoke about the film and said.”Tumbledown reflects our company’s ongoing effort to shepherd talented young filmmakers and deliver compelling films to the international marketplace. We are proud to bring this comedic love story starring an incredible cast to Berlin and provide it to moviegoers worldwide.”
Sean Meushaw and Desi Van Til are set to make their directing and screenwriting feature film debuts for the film. The two recently worked together on the short film ,Last Night which starred Frances McDormand and premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
Van Til also released this press statement about the film “We are so happy to have this film come to fruition in North Central Massachusetts where we have found the same authentic and kind-hearted spirit as the small Maine town that we aim to replicate in the film,”
In fact the film actually started principal photography in Devens, Massachusetts this week.
Bron Studios, who is one of the studios financing the film has a mock movie poster of the film which you can see here. It should also be noted that while Agron isn’t listed on the poster. We believe that she is possibly taking over for the role Olivia Munn was set to play since Munn seems to no longer be attached to the project with the recent announcements today.
CAA packaged the project and will be representing North American rights. International sales are being handled by Sierra/Affinity. Financing provided by Bron Studios, CW Media Finance, Corner Piece Capital and Coastal Capital.
This looks to be a very interesting film. I, for one, cannot wait to hear more about it, and what Ms. Agron will be doing to expand her horizons in her latest film adventure.
Keep up with @BronStudios to find out what juicy role Ms. Agron will be playing 😉
