Gotham is definitely one of the more hotly anticipated shows for the 2014-2015 television season.

Mainly because it has to do with the crime riddled city that was the birthplace of Batman. So we here at 4YE are excited at any bit of news we can get. Fox has been releasing a steady trickle of character portraits from the show, much to delight of the potential viewership.

We’ve covered the portraits of Oswald Cobblepot (the future Penguin) and Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth.

Now we have got a three in one portrait deal for you of Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), future Catwoman Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), and, last but not least, Detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie).

So far the only two of the announced cast to not have their portraits released are Gotham gangster Fish Mooney (the lovely Jada Pinkett Smith) and, naturally, the young pre-Batman Bruce Wayne (newcomer David Mazouz).

I think all of the cast portraits look appropriately dark for the city of Gotham. Plus the idea of the show is fascinating as it provides the backstory to characters that we already know without having to rehash it again. It’s a lead-up to how they become the characters we are most familiar with rather than presenting those characters to us.

So I’m definitely looking forward to this take on a classic setting.

Gotham has been picked up by FOX.
