It seems the trend of millennial child stars losing it is continuing into 2014. Shia LaBeouf is starting to become quite the repeat offender in this category. While in Berlin to promote his upcoming flick Nymphomaniac LaBeouf demonstrated some very odd behavior.
During a press conference when asked if he was concerned with filming the intense sex scenes with his co-star Shia flipped and when he answered didn’t even use anything original. Instead he chose to quote Manchester United and French soccer legend, Eric Cantona, stating:
“When the seagulls [pause] follow the trawler, it’s because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea. Thank you very much.”
With that behind him he decided to take it one step further. He arrived for the film’s premiere a tuxedo, which is pretty normal, however LeBeouf donned a paper bag with the phrase ‘I’m Not Famous Anymore’ scrawled on it. Although he was smart enough to cut eye holes so he could navigate the carpet.
On a serious note, it’s hard to decipher if this is all just a publicity stunt or if Shia really does need help. I just hope that if he does need help someone will step in and get him there. For his sake. And if it’s a publicity stunt, it’s getting old.
