We volunteer as tribute to cry endlessly because Jennifer Lawrence is apparently taking a break from acting!

It’s no breaking news that the Hunger Games star has had the most crazy and successful year as a young female actress, so it’s only natural that J-Law was going to need some time to recover! From starring in the Suzanne Collins novel-adaptations to also starring in movies such as Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, I think the young role-model has earned herself a huge amount of success and a well-deserved break!

On top of her busy career, she has also had numerous awards presented to her and the pressure of being a newly-famous and an incredibly important role model to many people all over the world. Log into Tumblr and you can find never-ending streams of Lawrence being her goofy self, saying sweet and inspiring things in interviews and making statements about her image and identity. All in all, she has been one busy chick and she has obviously handled it very well!

The hint of the tragic news however, came from Harvey Weinstein in his interview with The Sun. He said, “She’s going to have a long break for a year where she won’t do anything. It’s been non-stop for her and she deserves a rest.”

He continued, “Jennifer is too nice and will do people favors and agrees to do a movie like ‘American Hustle’ when she could have had a rest… She signed on to do ‘Hunger Games’ when she was young and wouldn’t have realized how much it would dominate her life. But she’s a professional and always will be.”

Regardless of whether she wanted to do “American Hustle” or not, it still contributed to her snowball-effect success rate as her role in the movie won her the Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards. The movie also earned a very, very tidy $140m.

Even though many people are probably going to be shocked by this news, it isn’t actually the first time Lawrence would have considered taking a break from working. Last year, the star said to USA Today, “I’ve built my career. I need to build my human life. I need to get a house and connect to the people around me and not work for a little while.”

Despite Weinstein’s statements, it’s unlikely that Jennifer will be taking a break anytime soon. Her latest movies, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Hunger Games-series sequel Mockingjay are all due to release this year. That means more interviews, more premieres, more award ceremonies and probably more signing on for her next projects.

Regardless of what her next move is in her career, we’re sure she’ll make the right one for her and manage it all superbly, as always! We would of course love to see her working but we also want her to be 100% and happy so if she needs rest, she definitely should do what she has got to do!
