Gleeks! Oh my dear, darling Gleeks!
We are only a few weeks away from the return of Glee. This hiatus has been long and cruel. The end of the tunnel is in sight, however, and soon we shall all be cursing and praising the show yet again simultaneously.
Now it has been announced that after the two-part 100th episode “100” and “New Directions,” Glee‘s fifth season will shift and focus solely on New York rather than doing the divide between NYC and Lima.
So it is written in the grand tradition of spoiler sharing, let’s talk song spoilers.
“Rockstar” by A Great Big World will be sung by Elliott Gilbert (Adam Lambert) and Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer).
YES!!!! My new favorite character for season five, Elliott, is baaack! I love him so much. He gets another duet with Kurt, too! It’s Christmas come early. It’s a Valentine’s miracle! I can’t wait to see them sing together in “Frenemies” and A Great Big World is making another appearance on Glee. (They were covered in season four episode twelve’s “Naked.”)
“You Make Me Feel So Young” by Frank Sinatra will be sung by Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss) and Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer).
Hey! Yay for the Klaine fans. They’re not my cup of tea but always go to have your ship be represented. Plus Darren Criss and Chris Colfer should sound pretty good on this Sinatra classic. They do have great vocal chemistry.
Now in addition to songs, cast and crew have been tweeting picture from the set of the show. This episode shows further reunions with the old guard, a Friends shout-out from the cast, and, most importantly, Chris Colfer rocking leather.
“New New York” will air on April 1st.
Glee will return Tuesday, February 25th at 8pm EST.
