Looking, the HBO comedy-drama (I am loathed to use the word ‘dramedy’) has been renewed for a second season after a third consecutive week of ratings highs and an increase of 54% from the series premiere.

The series stars Jonathan Groff, Frankie J. Álvarez and Murray Bartlett as friends, Patrick, Agustín and Dom as they navigate the world of sex, dating and relationships within the gay community of San Francisco.

Lauren Weedman, Raúl Castillo and Russell Tovey have also been promoted to series regulars for the second season taking their characters Doris, Richie and Kevin along for the ride.

I’ll admit, I only started watching Looking for Jon Groff, however I quickly fell in love with the series as a whole. It’s clever, funny, and witty. The characters are honest and believable and in the end, they’re all just looking for the one thing everyone wants… Someone to spend time with that will also let them have sex with them.

Looking airs Sunday’s at 10:30pm on HBO
