It seems we have been waiting a long time for this news, however we finally have an airdate for Ryan Murphy’s movie The Normal Heart.

HBO have announced that the TV movie which is based on the Tony winning play written by Larry Kramer will air on May 25.

I can’t wait to see this movie, which tells the story of New York City in the 1980’s and the HIV/AIDS crisis which hit the city.  With a cast which includes Matt Bomer, Mark Ruffalo, Jim Parsons, and Julia Roberts it is sure to be a ratings winner during the Memorial Day weekend.  It looks like HBO are hoping to repeat the success of Behind The Candelabra had last year.

Critics have already seen a trailer which was shown at the beginning of the year at the Television Critics Association’s press junkets, and it garnered an emotional response.

As soon as we get a public trailer, we will bring it you so stay tuned.
